Prime Video unveiled a host of sports, true-crime, comedy and drama programming at its first-ever Canadian upfront on Thursday, as tech giant Amazon makes major moves to grab a piece of the local video advertising market. The Canadian outpost of Prime Video ordered two-part true-crime docuseries Romcon: Who the F**k is Jason Porter?, about a convicted criminal with a history of romantic deception.

Warner Bros Discovery-owned New Zealand broadcaster Three has commissioned crime drama series Ms X from Dynamic Television, South Pacific Pictures and Plus6Four Entertainment. The 8×45′ series will also be available on streamer ThreeNow and is slated to be broadcast as part of Three’s 2026 slate. The series is scheduled to go into production in early June, on location in New Zealand. Australian actress Melissa George (The Mosquito Coast, The Slap) will lead the cast.

Apple TV+ has greenlit a 10-episode drama based on a series of crime novels by Sweden’s Lars Kepler, with Liev Schreiber (Ray Donovan), Zazie Beetz (Atlanta) and Stephen Graham (Adolescence) set to star. The as-yet-untitled project is produced by A+E Studios in association with Range Studios, with Schreiber and Beetz also executive producing. Filming is scheduled to begin this summer in Pittsburgh.
