AbstractHuman dietary choices control the gut microbiome. Industrialized populations consume abundant amounts of glucose and fructose, resulting in microbe-dependent intestinal disorders. Cur controls products necessary for carbohydrate utilization, host immunomodulation, and intestinal colonization.
