We present a detailed study of the Bardeen-Cooper-Schrieffer (BCS) gap equation “replicae” or excited vacuum states, orthogonal to the ground-state one, in the chiral-quark sector of the Hamiltonian Coulomb-gauge model of chromodynamics.
