The interim coach of the Super Eagles, Austin Eguavoen has named his 23-man squad for the final round of the 2025 AFCON qualifiers. The squad list was released on Wednesday by the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF). The Super Eagles will go head to head with Benin Republic and Rwanda in the final round of their group stage (Group D)match. Victor Osimhen is back to the team after missing out on the last-round games due to a muscle injury.

Edo Queens departed the country on Thursday morning ahead of the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League. The players and officials have travelled to Casablanca from the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos. Moses Aduku’s side are drawn in Group B with current holders Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa, Egypt’s FC Masar and CBE FC of Ethiopia. The Nigerian champions will be making their debut appearance in the competition.

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), said it had reached an agreement with the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) for availability of ‘Jet A’ fuel for seamless transportation of pilgrims to Saudi Arabia.
