In the PBS documentary "Native Ball: Legacy of a Trailblazer" Blackfeet elder Paul Old Chief explained why. "Whatever team she came up against, Malia played her best – for herself, for her university and for her tribe. That’s what makes her a warrior.” Kipp’s mom announced Malia’s death on social media last week.

On Wednesday 27 November 2024, the government produced an amendment paper on the Employment Rights Bill. The Employment Rights Bill was presented on 10 October 2024 and contained significant changes to employment law that will come into force in 2026. It is perhaps no surprise that amendments are required, given the scale of the new bill and the potential impact on employers.

Gary Chepil meandered outside his Bitterroot Valley home Wednesday morning at about 6:30 a.m. to let his dog out. Chepil’s house between Florence and Stevensville is above the treeline. He says he had a great view of what happened next. "I was standing on the deck, just had a blanket covering me waiting for my dog to come back in. There was this large flash in the sky and then there was kind of a bluish-like explosion.” Chepil says he didn’t immediately know what it was.

ShareNathaniel Palmer reckons it’s been at least a couple of years since he last voted. Palmer recently confirmed he’s registered to cast a ballot for the November election. The thing is, he’s just not sure he wants to. “Ooo. That’s a tough one,” he says. Palmer feels politically unheard and unappreciated. “At times it doesn’t seem like my vote counts and I’m only one person in a really big pond, and so it doesn’t matter,” Palmer says.
