What could possibly go wrong? I’ve only experienced this platform as a buyer, which is straightforward: you see an item you like, contact the seller, agree on a time to go to the person’s place and pick it up, cash in hand. «Μα, καλά, δε φοβάσαι τους καρχαρίες;» με ρωτάει εκείνος. Εχουμε μόλις γνωριστεί και μιλάμε για την κολύμβηση στην ανοιχτή θάλασσα, με την οποία ασχολούμαι εδώ και μερικά χρόνια. Ξεκίνησα τις εξορμήσεις μου στον ωκεανό παρέα με τις γυναίκες με τις οποίες συνήθως τρέχω. Οι δυο τους έχουν χάλκινα μετάλλια, οπότε σκέφτηκα ότι εάν δυσκολευόμουν θα υπήρχαν όχι ένας, αλλά δύο άνθρωποι να με σώσουν. Το κολύμπι στην ανοιχτή θάλασσα (αφού έμαθα να μην καταπίνω θαλασσινό νερό) είναι συναρπαστικό.

“Aren’t you afraid of sharks?” the man asks. We have just met and we’re talking about ocean swimming, which I have practised for a few years now. I started my forays into the ocean with the women I normally run with. Two have bronze medallions, so if I struggle there will be not one, but two people to save me. Swimming in the ocean (after I learned not to swallow mouthfuls of seawater) is thrilling. There are blue gropers, sea turtles, and wobbegong sharks. Beneath is deep blue water.
