It happened at a Sunoco near Moncrief Road around 2:20am. According to reports, the man was heading westbound on Edgewood Avenue, when a woman made a turn into a Sunoco gas station. The impact launched him from the motorcycle. He was transported to a local hospital where he died shortly after.

    JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office corrections officer was shot and killed by a man early Saturday morning at a truck stop on Jacksonville’s Northside. According to JSO, around 1:20 a.m., a black Mustang with a man and a woman arrived at a Love’s travel station on Duval Road. Police said the two were involved in a violent dispute. During the argument, the suspect exited the car from the passenger seat and walked over to the driver’s side.
