When I saw the announcement for Tomo Endless Blue I immediately began trying to sing a version of Styx’s “Mr. Roboto” that incorporated the title. This was exceedingly stupid and unproductive. No one needed it, and the studio name (Onibi) doesn’t scan into the joke in any way. Good thing the game looks like it’s fun, although we have a while to wait on this one. No Tomo arigatou for that one, I tells ya.

The basic goal when World of Warcraft’s development team announced the Season of Discovery for WoW Classic has long been discussed, but a new video from the team this week in the wake of Phase 8 reiterates that point: It was always was to mix up the vanilla game. Not to add new classes or specs, but to change the way the specs worked, to offer new paths and make viable options where they didn’t previously exist, and so forth.

We’ve got a couple weeks to go until we can play V Rising’s next major update, Invaders of Oakveil, which is hitting on April 28th. And I’m looking forward to it, since I plan to start a new playthrough with a friend on a fresh server… which, y’know, isn’t so much a choice as a rule, as the game doesn’t let you keep playing on old servers or just patch things.

Is it possible that the real invaders of Oakveil were the thralls we made along the way in V Rising? No. That doesn’t even pretend to make sense. But the update is approaching for the game on April 28th, and that means it’s almost time to take command of three new weapons, seven new spells, and a whole bunch of other changes arriving with the update being shown off on the official site and the trailer down below.
