    Despite the initial shift in November from the “Making an Exoneree” course partnership with Georgetown University to a more locally focused course, the School of Public and International Affairs (SPIA) is now offering both SPI 494: Making an Exoneree alongside SPI 413: The Criminal Legal System: Advocacy and Freedom — the latter being the former’s presumed replacement.

    After launching a new webpage on Nov. 2, Cannon Dial Elm Club is soliciting donations for an upcoming renovation, titled “Thrive in ’25.” According to the project website, the aim of “Thrive in ’25” is “building on our club’s success since 2011 by upgrading the Club facilities.” The club reopened in 2011, after closing in 1998, and is now aiming for $1.5 million in fundraising before the end of 2024.

    Last spring, Kat Ivkovic ’25 traveled to Cleveland, Ohio, to meet Peter Kenney Jr., a man who was wrongly convicted of murder and kidnapping in 2001. As part of the course SPI 499: Making an Exoneree, Kat and her case partners visited Kenney’s family, investigated his case, and produced a documentary aimed at furthering efforts to secure Kenney’s exoneration.

    Princeton’s campus — literally star-studded with reminders of its robust historical ties to military service — paused on Nov. 11 for the commemoration of Veterans Day, beginning with a Chapel service at 9 a.m. followed by a reception at Murray Dodge Hall. President of Princeton Student Veterans Richard Kertatos ’26 opened the chapel service, which featured remarks from Captain Kelley T. Jones GS, who is the U.S. Navy’s 2023 Arthur S. Moreau Scholar at the University.

    The Department of Public Safety (DPS) has opened an investigation into stickers with anti-Israel sentiments placed around campus, which were discovered by several students last weekend. University Spokesperson Jennifer Morrill confirmed in an email to The Daily Princetonian that DPS is investigating this as a bias incident.
