By Annie Gowen(c) 2024 , The Washington Post OMAHA – Nebraska’s competing constitutional initiatives on abortion can remain on the November ballot, the state’s Supreme Court ruled Friday, paving the way for an unusual, high-stakes battle on the issue to play out in the conservative red state. The court agreed that a proposed amendment to the Nebraska constitution does not violate the state’s single-subject rule, which prohibits a ballot measure from addressing more than one subject.
