TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — After a very rainy weekend, we are now in a stretch of drier and warmer weather! We brace ourselves for highs that stretch into the upper 80s and low 90s through our 7-day forecast. A ridge of high pressure will set up across our neighborhoods this week, and that helps keep most rain chances away. Stray showers are possible later Wednesday night for our very northern neighborhoods in South Georgia, but even those showers will be light and short-lived.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — A spotty shower is possible across our neighborhoods late Tuesday morning into the early afternoon, but no severe weather is expected. By midweek, we’re trading in the umbrellas for sunscreen and water bottles—sunshine makes a big comeback, and so does the heat!Temperatures soar into the 90s starting Wednesday, with many of us hitting that 90° mark midweek and climbing into the mid-90s by the weekend.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — While the threat for widespread flooding has passed, an isolated flood risk remains with stronger storms Monday afternoon. Light showers are already developing across parts of the Big Bend early Monday, and we’ll see a better chance for storm activity later in the day, especially along and near the I-75 corridor. The Storm Prediction Center has placed our western-most neighborhoods under a marginal risk — that’s a 1 out of 5 — for severe weather.

Rain could be heavy at times, potentially leading to areas of flooding. An additional 1 to 3 inches of rain is possible on Sunday, with localized amounts of up to 10 inches under some storms.
