NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - A few big storms through the afternoon bringing in another round of rain for the region. Most areas that do see rain will pick up another 1 to 3 inches. Some storms will have gusty winds and quite a bit of lightning. There is a low end risk for severe storms as the cold front pushes south. The most widespread activity will be between 3 and 7 pm just ahead of the front. Behind the cold front look for improving conditions with drier air settling in overnight.
