ALBANY — A State Police trooper who suffered serious injuries after their cruiser was hit by a passing semi-truck on Friday has been released from the hospital, State Police say. The trooper was released from the hospital on Friday night and is back home, State Police spokesman Beau Duffy said. The trooper was hospitalized earlier that day after suffering “serious but not life-threatening injuries," officials said.

ALBANY — Flooding caused by heavy rainfall has started to impact road conditions in the region and local officials are urging caution. A flash flood warning has been issued by the National Weather Service for the greater Albany area. Rainfall rates vary between an inch-and-a-half to a half-inch regionwide.

ALBANY — The New York State Museum was briefly evacuated Sunday afternoon after a tour bus appeared to have backed into the building off Madison Avenue. The coach bus struck the building at 1:45 p.m. and no one was injured, the museum's spokesperson Jaclyn Keegan said in a statement. Article continues below this adThe bus, operated by Schenectady-based Wade Tours, could be seen on the sidewalk near the museum entrance with the rear of the vehicle touching an opening in the building.

VICTORY — The former Victory Mill was ravaged by fire on Saturday. Firefighters from multiple departments responded to 42 Gates Ave. around 3 p.m. The fire was still raging more than one hour later. COPAKE — The National Transportation Safety Board on Friday released preliminary findings in its investigation of an airplane crash that killed six people in Copake last month. The twin-engine Mitsubishi MU-2B-40 aircraft crashed in a field near state Route 23 and Two Town Road just after noon on April 12. The crash killed two Massachusetts-based doctors, one of whom was also an executive director at a Rochester health system, as well as their son, daughter and their children’s two partners.
