A city tower block in poor condition and past its "design life" is to be demolished to make way for new homes after permission was granted. The 112 flats in William Malcolm House in Coventry will be knocked down in 2025 as part of a £21m regeneration scheme in Wyken by Citizen Housing. The housing provider had originally decided to rehouse residents and demolish the 1960's tower block two years ago, an update earlier this year stated.

Plans for a seven-storey car park to help cater for the thousands of extra students expected in Coventry by 2030 have been unveiled. The development proposed by Coventry University would create 500 spaces on the site of Lower Ford Street car park, next to the ring road.
