FridayTriumph Hurdle (1.20) – East India DockBest odds: 2/1The unbeaten Hello Neighbour looks a nice price at around 11/2, but East India Dock has been incredibly impressive in his three hurdle starts to date, winning a couple of G2s at Cheltenham by a combined distance of 28 lengths. He meets all the key trends here. James Owen has been rising through the training ranks and he deserves a breakthrough Festival success, and he’s got the perfect horse to provide him with every chance.

ThursdayMares’ Novices’ Hurdle (1.20) – Galileo DameBest odds: 13/2No four-year-old has won this race in its nine runnings to date, but Galileo Dame could be the first to buck the trend for Joseph O’Brien. The other key trends all work in her favour – top three finish last time out, top three finish in a Graded hurdle, two hurdle starts, adjusted RPR of at least 143 (she’s 145).

WednesdayTurners Novices’ Hurdle (1.20) – The New LionBest odds: 15/8The New Lion is far and away the best British novice at the Cheltenham Festival, and I think he’s got a massive chance of landing this. I’ve been stung by the ‘Challow curse’ before, but the six-year-old looks to possess a touch of class that previous winners of the Newbury showpiece perhaps didn’t.

TuesdaySupreme Novices’ Hurdle (1.20) – Kopek Des BordesBest odds: 1/1General consensus is that this lad is a superstar in the making. The ease with which he won at Leopardstown last time was eye-opening to say the least, despite not looking the most straightforward ride, and if Paul Townend can control him both before and during the race this time you’d imagine it could well be a steering job, even against some talented novice hurdlers.

There should be a penalty for players spitting on a golf course, especially on or around the green. Poor example from the World No. 1 of all people.
