Blackburn Rovers head coach, Valerien Ismael. (Image: PA) Valerien Ismael was impressed with the versatility of Blackburn Rovers' performance after showing both sides of their game in the win against Sunderland. Tyrhys Dolan's first-half goal secured a third successive win for Blackburn. That keeps their season alive with results elsewhere leaving them within four points of the play-offs. Rovers had plenty of possession and played good football in the first half.

Blackburn Rovers won 1-0 at Sunderland. (Image: PA) Here's how The Lancashire Telegraph scored the players' performances, with a six representing par for the course. Balazs Toth - 7 Didn't have masses of saves to make but acquitted himself well. Decent stop to deny Isidor and commanded his area well. Callum Brittain - 8 Another good outing for the Rovers right-back. Didn't quite reach the heights of Friday but still posed a threat in the second half.

Blackburn Rovers face Sunderland at The Stadium of Light. (Image: Canva) Valerien Ismael is unlikely to make many changes for the trip to Sunderland after Blackburn Rovers' best display under his watch. The win over Millwall ensured back-to-back wins and gives Rovers some momentum ahead of the quick turnaround on Easter Monday. Whilst Ismael will want to ensure more injury issues don't occur, the nature of the win makes it difficult to envisage too many changes.
