The world watched in awe as a nation reclaimed its freedom. A people that stood together to reclaim its democracy from the clutches of tyranny. Proving that a people united can never be defeated. But now, we look at our country and ask: What have we done with that victory? Did we truly honor the legacy of EDSA?

The state weather bureau said Tuesday morning that residents of Palawan, along with those in Mindanao and the Visayas, should brace for more rain today due to the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ). In other parts of the country, the shear line is bringing scattered rain and thunderstorms. “Patuloy na umiiral itong ITCZ o yung salubungan ng hangin mula sa Northern and Southern Hemisphere na siyang nakakapekto sa may kanlurang bahagi ng Mindanao at ng Palawan.

Social media personality Crish Ann Austria, known as Forda Ferson, has addressed online backlash after posting a video warning tourists about potential waterborne illnesses in El Nido. In her video, Austria advised visitors to avoid drinking local water after experiencing diarrhea during a recent trip. “Tanong ko lang? May sinabi po ba akong mali dun sa video ko? Katakot! Andami pong nagagalit lalo na yung mga lokal doon sa Palawan. Andaming nagagalit doon sa ginawa kong video,” she said.

A reticulated python (Malayopython reticulatus) was rescued after it was spotted chasing a rat inside a warehouse of a well-known mall in Palawan. Alexander Oximoso, one of the security personnel of the mall, said their security team quickly intervened on August 1, concerned for the python’s safety, and brought the endangered snake to the Palawan Council for Sustainable Development Staff (PCSDS) for proper care.
