The fresh, melancholy and inspiring Tinlicker sound we know today and will hear at Dallas venue Silo on Saturday, April 12, descended from Micha Heyboer and Jordi van Achthoven’s adolescent, raucous roots in the Netherlands. Like many Dutch youths, the Tinlicker pair grew up bouncing off the walls on gabber, hardstyle and jungle in Netherlands’ fourth largest city, Utrecht, about an hour south of Amsterdam. The legal drinking age in the Netherlands was 14 until 2014, when it was raised to 18.

Breaking news from Pebble Beach Golf Links in California – Scottie Scheffler just shanked an approach into a greenside bunker on the par four No. 11 and made a bogey. He’s human, sort of. The difference between Scheffler and most of the amateurs who go around Pebble Beach is that Scottie will likely play the last seven holes under par and not to mention – his shank backs him up to seven-under which ain’t too shabby.

Nathan Elout is first in line at It’ll Do Club for the 9 p.m. opening on Saturday. It's a triple billing with Red Eye, Villager and the headlining closer — DJ Seinfeld.Second in line is Tripp, a shotgun car hauler "Dead Head" from Okaloosa County in North Florida. He’s just passing through town. Third in the queue is a guy who thinks he left his jacket in the bathroom on New Year’s Eve for the Felix da Housecat party.

The golf cart, or buggy as it’s called in Europe is not part of golf’s origins. And the original golf course, the St Andrews Old Course certainly didn’t consider efficient cart path routing when the links course opened in 1552. In fact, the Old Course didn’t even have an architect, but naturally happened till Daw Anderson made updates in the 1850s and then most notably Old Tom Morris updated links from 1865 to 1908.

A distant cousin of hallowed nightclub electronic music ruins Hacienda in Manchester, England, and State Palace Theater in New Orleans can be found in Dallas’ newest venue: Silo. The towering, imposing concrete hall in the Design District is a retired and rehabbed grain silo built in 1959 by Delmo Johnson of the Johnson Grain Company.
