    A car dealership on Chicago's South Side was broken into early Monday morning, Chicago police confirmed. According to the Chicago Police Department, a group of four to five people damaged the gate outside the dealership in the 2700 block of South Michigan Avenue around 4:30 a.m. Police said the group then shattered the front driver's side windows of two parked cars. It is unclear at this time if anything was taken from the dealership during the break-in.  No arrests have been made.

    Pedestrian hit by car on I-290 A pedestrian was hit on the Eisenhower Expressway in Oak Park on Sunday night. Illinois State Police said the pedestrian was hit by a car in the outbound lanes of I-290 near Pulaski Road around 11 p.m.The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital with injuries, state police said. Their condition is unknown at this time. All lanes reopened around 4:35 a.m.The cause of the crash was not immediately known.

    Pride month is underway in Chicago, and that means it's time for celebrations throughout the city and suburbs. From parades, to performances, and festivals, check out some of the Pride events happening throughout the month. Chicago Pride Fest From June 21 to June 22,  Pride Fest will take over Northalsted on Halsted Street between Addison and Grace streets. The event is free to attend, but a $20 donation is suggested to support performers and festival workers.

    Chicago's beloved Shedd Aquarium is celebrating its 95th anniversary. The iconic aquarium first opened on May 30th, 1930. A gala will be held in September to honor the "Shedd's impact on aquatic science, conservation and community." The Shedd is currently undergoing a massive renovation, ahead of its centennial in 2030. Last year, Shedd officials announced plans to open a new learning center with education programs. The aquarium's new structure will be just steps away from its galleries.

    Chicago's beloved wildlife expert Frank "Alligator" Robb will be a guest speaker at the Field Museum in June. Robb will speak as part of the museum's "Meet a Scientist" series on June 6. The alligator expert stepped in to capture "Chance the Snapper," an American alligator who became a citywide sensation in the summer of 2019 when he was spotted swimming in the Humboldt Park lagoon.
