AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - The impacts from Hurricane Helene are still felt across the CSRA. “We have taken recovery very seriously to get the grounds open and keep them safe,” Ellen Smalley, the Treasurer of Augusta Sail Club, and Millie Smalley, a sailor, said. “Many of the parks around us still aren’t open and probably won’t be throughout the summer.”But clearing the grounds of debris and lumber is not the only struggle the Augusta Sail Club has faced.

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Smoke will block out the sun at times Monday, but dry weather and milder than average temperatures will continue through midweek. Humidity levels will be unseasonably low making for pleasant conditions with cool nights and warm but not hot days for the first half of the week. Expect afternoon high temperatures to reach the upper 80s throughout the week, but feel like temperatures will be near or below the actual air temperature.

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Skies have cleared just in time for your outdoor plans this weekend, but temperatures and humidity levels will be well below average for this time of year through midweek. Overcast sky conditions will remain in place on Sunday due to wildfire smoke making its way down from Canada. A reinforcing cool front will pass through the region Sunday afternoon, but humidity levels will be too low for any rain here in the CSRA.
