DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) - The search for Dothan’s new school superintendent was narrowed to five finalists on Thursday. Among them are two long-time educators who have worked in Dothan City Schools. Dr. Donnie Chambers is a Houston County School System principal who spent nearly 20 years with Dothan City Schools. Dr. Charles Corbett is a Dothan native who has spent more than two decades in education. He is a former Dothan principal and presently the system’s director of student services.

DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) - Troy University Dothan administration placed the school on lockdown as police search for a teen who escaped from the Southeast Alabama Youth Services. The lockup is along Horace Shepard Road, about a half mile from the juvenile detention center, often referred to as a diversion center. Authorities did not immediately provide a description of the escapee. Officers used a tracking dog and other resources in their pursuit of the escaped teen.
