UNCASVILLE — The Atlanta Dream entered Friday’s matchup with the Connecticut Sun as the third-place team in the WNBA, but once star guard Marina Mabrey got hot for the 12th-place Sun, there was nothing anyone could do to stop her. Mabrey posted a season-high 34 points plus four assists, four rebounds and a block, leading Connecticut to its second win of the year 84-76 over the Dream and redeeming the team’s 24-point loss in Atlanta from May 25.

After facing off in the WNBA Finals last year, Breanna Stewart’s New York Liberty and Napheesa Collier’s Minnesota Lynx entered June as the only squads still undefeated.
