Hartford Courant

The Hartford Courant holds the title of the largest daily newspaper in Connecticut and is often regarded as the oldest continuously published newspaper in the United States. This morning publication primarily serves the areas north of New Haven and east of Waterbury, with its headquarters located on Broad Street, just a short distance from the state capitol. The paper covers regional news through a network of bureaus in smaller cities and offers various local editions. In 2000, it became part of the Tribune Company, which later merged its management and facilities with WTIC-TV, also owned by Tribune, in Hartford. In 2014, the newspaper was separated from the Tribune Company and became a part of Tribune Publishing.
