MISSOULA — From Frenchtown to Blue Mountain to Downtown, the Missoula Marathon covers quite the distance. With less than a week until race day, volunteers spent their weekend making sure hometown runners and those visiting the Garden City alike will have a pristine running environment. “I run the marathon and I know a lot of people come from out of town for this event, so we want to make it look nice for the guests and for ourselves," volunteer Danelle Gjetmundsen said.

KALISPELL — They are the backbone of our communities and often they're overlooked and not thanked enough for their service. Volunteers fill many roles from fire captains to youth sports coaches and that's why MTN talked with Unsung Heroes Clifford and Cassidy Kipp, who are all in when it comes to non-profit work. "I have a long-standing history of wanting to impact good in the place that I'm from," Cassidy Kipp said. “I'm guilty of saying yes too many times," Clifford Kipp added.

MISSOULA — The food truck M-80 Chicken has become a staple in Missoula over the past five years. The business celebrated moving from four wheels to a brick-and-mortar store with a soft opening on Wednesday. "We're just kind of working out the kinks, getting everything sorted, and asking for a little bit of grace as our crew gets going," co-owner McKenna Cramer told MTN. M-80 is located in the iconic Shack Building at 222 Main Street.

MISSOULA — It's officially a fresh start for Le Petit! The fan-favorite bakery opened its new retail shop on Wednesday morning. Le Petit has moved from 4th Street and Myrtle to its new location on the Hip Strip between Gild and Ciao Mambo. It was a move that had been a year in the making and staff and patrons alike were eager to be in the new space. The bakery will be serving breads, pastries, local goodies, and drinks every day of the week.
