BONNER — A new native plant garden was unveiled Wednesday in Bonner as part of a community-wide project spearheaded by the Bonner Milltown History Center. The garden, located behind the Post Office and the History Center, was created with help from Missoula County grants and significant involvement from local students. "Today, with everything in place, it's like, wow, it really worked," Bonner Milltown History Center co-director Judy Matson said.

MISSOULA — Once again, rain showers and thunderstorms are popping up around the region this afternoon and evening. Highs again will be running in the 50s to low 60s. Thursday's rain will focus primarily around northwest Montana during the morning, with a round of moderate to heavy rain expected. MISSOULA — May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and you can get resources at the Missoula Public Library. The library has partnered with Missoula Public Health (MPH) to host a free gun lock giveaway to promote suicide prevention and mental health support. Gun locks and other resources are available at the safety desk on the first floor through May 31. No questions will be asked, and you don't even need a library card.

MISSOULA — After years of little progress, a project intended to house homeless veterans in Missoula could be closer to construction, the city's mayor said on Monday night. The Poverello Center purchased the old Clark Fork Inn on West Broadway in 2021, using $1 million provided by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. At the time, the project was expected to cost around $3.7 million. “It's been a couple of years in the making. It has been boarded up for some time.
