Two men accused of felling the Northumberland's beloved Sycamore Gap tree and causing more than £620,000 worth of damage have been given a trial date. Daniel Graham, 39, from Milbeck Stables, Carlisle, and Adam Carruthers, 32, from Church Street, Wigton, Cumbria, will go before a jury for a 10-day trial that begins on 28 April at Newcastle Crown Court. Mrs Justice Lambert confirmed the date at a short pre-trial hearing at the same court on Monday 10 February.
