April is here, which means racers are gearing up to make their way to Massachusetts for the 129th Boston Marathon. The world's oldest marathon kicks off on Patriots' Day in Boston, Monday, April 21. The annual race is one of six World Marathon Majors and attracts tens of thousands of both racers and spectators over its various events, all culminating with the 26.2-mile race stretching from Hopkinton, Massachusetts, to Boston. The marathon is run by both professional and amateur racers.

The seventh episode of Season 48, titled "Survivor Smack Talk," had remaining players deal with the ramifications of finally merging and living together on one beach as the game shifted from a team-focused endeavor to a more individual one.

At the start of the sixth episode, titled "Doing the Damn Thing," the three tribes were told to drop their buffs and join together on one beach as the team portion of the reality competition show ended and a more individual game is about to begin. But it wasn't merge time quite yet: Players were in "mergatory" this episode, the final step before officially joining together.
