More than 300,000 households are in danger of being left with either no hot water and heating, or heaters stuck on full blast, because their electricity meters could stop working at the end of next month. Homes and businesses with meters controlled by outdated Radio Teleswitch Service (RTS) technology have been told the signal will stop on June 30.
