With everything students have had to go through the past four years, including a global pandemic, one teacher at Clear Creek Elementary hopes this four-legged friend can help regulate young student's emotions. Meet Clear Creek Elementary's newest employee Sully. Sully isn't your average teacher. He's a therapy dog.

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - Volunteers got their hands dirty and their shoes wet to help preserve the environment at the annual Indian Creek Clean-Up Saturday. More than 40 people spent the morning cleaning up portions of the Indian Creek, the Cedar River and some roadsides. Leaders with the nature center said they can find everything from empty coffee cups to a plastic snowman. Jean Wiedenheft, Director of Land Stewardship said the clean-up can help more than just the areas here in Cedar Rapids.

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - Kids got to get their hands on some school supplies at Bever Park Saturday as the Cedar Rapids Parks and Rec department's 10th annual Back to School Bash. Kids could grab notebooks, crayons, pencil pouches and more. It was $5 to attend and while it wasn't everything on their lists, Tony Ireland, Recreation Superintendent for the City of Cedar Rapids said they estimate each students went home with about 100 dollars worth of supplies.
