Not much information has been made public, but KWWL is told that no one was transferred to the hospital for treatment. This fire is now under investigation.

BENTON COUNTY, Iowa (KWWL) -- The Benton County Sheriff's Office is on scene at the Benton Community High School and Middle School after receiving a potential threat. The Sheriff's office said Tuesday an anonymous tip came from the Safe+Sound Iowa app just after 1:00 p.m.Out of caution, the Sheriff's office said the building remains in a hold, which means students and staff are in classrooms with doors locked.

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KWWL) -- Cedar Rapids Police are investigating an apparent double homicide-suicide, with the victims being identified by police. Police arrived to a home in the 4400 block of Regal Avenue NE near Cavalier on Thursday. It started when police found a man dead from what appeared to be a self-inflicted wounds inside of a portable bathroom in the 4400 block of Council St NE. This led police to the discovery of two bodies inside the home on Regal.
