Good morning everyone. I’m in-transit right now so sorry for any typos today. Today’s newsletter includes: the second coming of the girlboss, alligators on Martha’s Vineyard, Lisa Bubbers’ new job, and how to design a new candy shop that’s blocks away from The Guggenheim. and I got lunch yesterday at The Odeon. She is one of my smartest friends and I’m so grateful for her.

Good morning everyone. Yesterday, I had a rare free hour in the middle of the day so I went to the Union Square farmer’s market, which I haven’t done in months. I bought one of almost everything from Lani’s Farms, and I’m now addicted to their Moo Radish kimchi. Thank you everyone who took the time to read the spring break accounts from Feed Me’s youngest readers. If you didn’t get a change to read them, each one is about the length of a five-stop subway ride.

This morning, I introduced a project that Feed Me has been working on for the last few months. I sent six college students on their spring break trips with disposable cameras, and a brief guideline on how I hoped they’d recap their vacations. I was surprised by how much tequila these kids could handle, but I was more impressed by how comfortable and confident their writing read, given they don’t typically write for large audiences on the internet (Substack star , the exception).

Good morning everyone. Today’s letter includes: the diary entries from six college students who went on spring break this year, a review of LA’s most Instagram Storied new restaurant, an exclusive quote from the CEO of BLADE, and a mermaid thriller set in Florida. Earlier this year, I was thinking a lot about spring break. I didn’t go to a school that was big on organized spring break trips.

Hi I’m back in America. Free letter today. I ate alone a few times in London, which I almost never do in New York. I took a flight there Monday morning (I’d usually do a red eye), and ended up getting to my hotel at 8:30, so I ran out for a bowl of walnut-miso udon at Koya before they closed. The counter was crowded with people playing on their phones both alone and sitting with friends. I guess you’re never eating alone when you have a free hand to scroll. My other solo lunch was at Cafe Deco.
