Simpson College announced it has begun its search for an interim president after former President Jay Byers died April 17. A specific search timeline has not been established, but the Simpson board of trustees expects to have an interim president in place for the beginning of the 2025-26 academic year, the announcement said. Terry Handley will continue to serve as Simpson’s acting president until an interim president is appointed.
