(Image credit: Courtesy of brands)There are plenty of gift guides out there for the fashion friend who has it all, for the person who loves to host dinner parties, or for the Zoomer in your life who has an average daily screen time of nine hours. There's a large hole missing, though: a curated, thoughtful gift guide for your laziest, most sloth-like friend (read: me). This has been a *year* with too many questionable, chaotic, and high-energy moments to count.

One night last November, I was doing some pre-bed scrolling and stumbled on a photo of the internet’s babygirl Jacob Elordi at an airport with a book. The post—from Vogue—wasn’t even about the book, it was about the limited-edition Louis Vuitton duffel he was also carrying. I took a screenshot and posted to my story asking who to follow to find out what celebrities were reading. Surely, someone was covering this beat.

It seems X, formerly known as Twitter, always finds a new way to make headlines despite increasing user departure from the app. Most recently, Elon Musk confirmed a change in the feed algorithm to deprioritize posts with external links. Meaning, posts that have historically driven user traffic back to company websites will now be buried by long-form content without links or posts from users with X Premium. The algorithm change isn’t the only thing prompting companies to abandon the app.

There was only a small profile photo of Djuna on the Web site, but even from that sliver, with some burly-bearded husband or boyfriend half in the frame, Kate could tell that she was attractive. They didn’t live in this house, Djuna and whoever was in the picture with her—it was obvious from the online calendar, how often the place was rented—but the profile said that they lived nearby, would be available if there were any issues. The house was two hours away.

by Steve TolzRead it if you’re interested in: Madcap insanity, charming misanthropes, Australian epicsTo say Jason Dean has grown up with a unique father would be an understatement. Upon his passing, he looks back at the life the two of them shared, recollecting the jaw dropping events that made his father who he was, in this epic father son saga. This romping, rollicking yarn is a fever dream of a book, quite honestly one of the most out there things I’ve ever read.
