Werner tries to open up some space among the congestion of red shirts and is duly stopped by one of those red shirts. Spurs have not stopped coming so far and, while AZ are defending their hearts out, it will be tough to maintain this intensity. As I write this, AZ are off on a lovely attack that ends with Kasius delivering a VERY inviting ball towards Forster’s far post. Mohammed bin Salman has never been that big a football fan. That is more speculation than confirmed truth, based on a lack of hard evidence to support a history of playing or watching the game in any meaningful way.

A great guy has written a great book. Get around it.

Folks, I have written a book. It’s called ANGEBALL. It’s about Ange Postecoglou and his whole story in life and football. It’s out in Australia (via @HachetteAus) and the UK (via @headlinepg) on August 28 and you can pre-order it here: https://t.co/Y7IJcloBgG https://t.co/lKJTo15W9b

RT @tomdecent: If you read one thing today on the Eddie Jones shemozzle, make it this from @iainpayten. Belter. https://t.co/P7HFdXhzlb…

RT @maxrushden: With trepidation. Tried to write about football’s response to Israel/Palestine and posting about it on social media. Perh…
