    SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY (WRGB) — In less than 24 hours Belmont Festivities kick off with the Belmont on Broadway concert. Sections of Broadway will be closed starting at 5 am tomorrow to start preparing for the festivities. One of the biggest changes for this year, there will be no shuttle bus coming and going to the concert. Staff at the city center are encouraging attendees to use the parking garage on Maple Ave. "Part of the reason we didn't is there was plenty of parking downtown last year.

    GLENMONT, NY (WRGB) — A federal work program located nationwide, including in the capital region, is to be closed this month. The Job Corps based in Glenmont is set to close by June 30th. The program houses low-income students aged 16 to 24 with academic and career technical training, and skills to not only get a job but to stay employed. Staff were told on Thursday that they had a week to get students off campus.

    VERMONT (WRGB) — Vermont State Police are looking for the public’s help in locating a missing vulnerable adult. State Troopers say 79-year-old Julia Preston, of Pittsfield, VT, left her home on May 31st around 8:30 pm. She was in a black 2011 Toyota Rav4 with Vermont license plate "GCE306". Peterson was reportedly last seen on June 1, 2025, around 0100 hours at the Stewart's Shop on Woodstock Ave in Rutland City, and then left heading eastbound on Woodstock Ave.

    NEW YORK (WRGB) — In honor of Pride Month, Governor Kathy Hochul has directed state buildings and landmarks to be illuminated to celebrate. The proclamation also directs the Pride flag and LGBTQ+ progress Pride flag to be flown on June 1st to celebrate New York’s LGBTQ+ community and mark the beginning of Pride Month. The Pride flag will be raised at the State Capitol, the Empire State Plaza and the Governor’s Executive Mansion.
