Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie addressed a fully packed Whig Senate Hall Chamber Tuesday evening in a highly-anticipated event hosted by American Whig-Cliosophic Society. His talk addressed his views on the next gubernatorial race in New Jersey, where he launched into a full-throated critique of Democratic candidate Sean Spiller, targeting his deep ties to teachers’ unions.

Jerome Powell ’75, the Federal Reserve Chair, has been as Princeton’s Baccalaureate speaker, set for TKTKTKTK. In the past, Powell has clashed with President-elect Donald Trump and, most recently, has appeared in the news for saying he will not step down if Trump asks him to resign. At Princeton, Powell studied politics and wrote a senior thesis titled “South Africa: Forces for Change,” and went on to earn a law degree from Georgetown University Law School.

Students and faculty congregated at Firestone Plaza on Nov. 8 to join a walkout expressing their disappointment in the aftermath of Donald Trump’s election to presidential office a few days prior. Approximately 50 people were in attendance, and the protests took place at noon. The protest was organized by Mira Eashwaran ’26 alongside Anna Buretta ’27, who serves as co-lead of action at Sunrise Princeton.

More than six months following the conclusion of Princeton’s “Gaza Solidarity Encampment,” the 13 people arrested for occupying Clio Hall will have to wait at least another month for a trial date. During a brief zoom hearing Tuesday morning, defense attorney Aymen Aboushi requested a re-evaluation of a plea deal that would have allowed six of the protesters to plead guilty to a municipal noise ordinance.
