MILAM COUNTY, Texas — According to the Milam County Sheriff's Office, a deputy attempted a traffic stop on Colby Martinez on June 20, but the Rockdale man led authorities on a chase that ended in a wooded area near County Road 470. Martinez, who is currently on parole, allegedly fled in his vehicle before abandoning it and taking off on foot. Authorities say he then entered a nearby river and removed his court-ordered ankle monitor before disappearing.

BELLMEAD, Texas(KXXV) — Bellmead patrol officers responded to reports of shots fired on the evening of June 16 in the 1500 block of Cloverleaf Drive. During the investigation, officers determined that multiple individuals had discharged firearms. Evidence was collected at the scene, and Demarcus Davis was arrested and charged with Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon, a Class A misdemeanor, and Deadly Conduct – Discharge of a Firearm, a third-degree felony.

KILLEEN, Texas(KXXV) — The Killeen Police Department is investigating a theft that occurred Monday morning at the Lighting Smoke Shop, located at 609 W. W.S. Young Drive. According to police, a Black male entered the store around 7:46 a.m. and asked to see some products. When an employee presented a container, the suspect grabbed it and ran from the store. Anyone with information is asked to contact Killeen Police or Bell County Crime Stoppers at 254-526-TIPS (8477).
