WALNUT - Hemet junior swimmer Jaydah Godbolt is known for her fast starts in the pool. This season, Godbolt has focused her training on finishing races just as strong as she starts. Godbolt was exceptional from start to finish Friday afternoon in claiming the 100-yard backstroke title at the CIF Southern Section Division 3 championship meet at the Mt. San Antonio College Aquatics Center.

King boys lacrosse team starts fast, beats San Juan Hills to reach Division 3 semis

RIVERSIDE — King boys lacrosse coach Kyle Gilbert said his team’s goals Wednesday evening were to hit hard and hit fast. And the Wolves accomplished their mission. King scored the first four goals of the match and never trailed en route to its 17-12 win over San Juan Hills in a CIF Southern Section Division 3 quarterfinal match. Logan Gilbert led the way for the Wolves with a match-high six goals.
