Welcome to Waiver Wire Watch, where I review my favorite waiver wire adds and drops for each week of the MLB season. The premise is pretty straightforward. I’ll try to give you some recommended adds each week based on recent production or role changes. When I list a player, I’ll list the category where I think he’ll be helpful or the quick reason he’s listed. I hope that it will help you determine if the player is a fit for what your team needs or not.

A baseball season can often be a war of attrition. A 162-game schedule is a grind for any team, and when the cold streaks or the bumps and bruises start to pile up, the teams that can weather the storm most effectively are often the teams that will put themselves in a position to be hoisting a trophy at the end of the year. The Arizona Diamondbacks find themselves in such a position right now.

Game 5 was always gonna be the toughest for the #Knicks. Celtics have pride and love for Tatum. They’re at home. Season on the line. That level of energy is not gonna carry over to the Garden for Game 6.

Dalton Rushing will start tomorrow, Dave Roberts said. He’s expected to start about twice a week behind the plate, and Roberts said he doesn’t expect Rushing to play the outfield while he’s here.
