Tony Gonsolin is on the mound for the Dodgers, the first of two straight pitchers starting on four days rest. Thus far the team has gotten pretty good results in the first three starts on four days rest, with Gonsolin (May 11), Dustin May (21) and Clayton Kershaw (May 28) combining to allow two runs in 16 innings, with 15 strikeouts and five walks.

This time, they signed right-hander José Ureña to a major league deal, and activated him for their Tuesday night game against the Mets. Ureña is not to be confused with Monday trade acquisition Will Klein, who took the 40-man roster spot of Chris Stratton, who signed just eight days earlier. In between, the Dodgers also traded for right-hander Alexis Díaz, though the closer is fine tuning at Camelback Ranch for now.

Ohtani hit .309/.398/.782 with a 213 wRC+ during May and led the majors with 15 home runs, tying a Dodgers record for most home runs in a month. He led the National League in slugging percentage, OPS (1.180), wRC+, home runs, extra-base hits (21), and runs scored (31).
