SAN ANTONIO – Bexar County District Attorney Joe Gonzales will not run for reelection, he told staff during a meeting on Thursday, sources told KSAT. He is expected to hold a news conference at 4:15 p.m., according to a news release. Sources were briefed on the matter at an all-staff meeting at 3:30 p.m. but were not authorized to speak on the record. Gonzales was elected to the county’s top prosecutor role in 2018, beating incumbent Nico LaHood.

SAN ANTONIO – A man accused of killing “King Of The Hill” voice actor Jonathan Joss was released from the Bexar County jail on Wednesday. Sigfredo Ceja Alvarez, 56, posted bail on a $200,000 bond on Tuesday but walked out of the jail at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday, according to Bexar County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Johnny Garcia. His release was delayed because he needed a GPS fitted.

SAN ANTONIO – A man accused of killing “King Of The Hill” voice actor Jonathan Joss is in the process of being released from the Bexar County jail. Sigfredo Ceja Alvarez, 56, posted bail on a $200,000 bond on Tuesday but has not been released as of 9 a.m. Wednesday, records with the Bexar County jail show. His bond conditions include full house arrest, random drug testing and no possession of firearms.

SAN ANTONIO – An SAISD student, accused of plotting an attack at Rhodes Middle School, attended two court hearings on Thursday, where the proceedings focused on his detention status and media access. Last week, the student showed up to the Rhodes Middle School campus “wearing a mask, camouflage jacket and tactical pants but left shortly after,” police said. The student was later found off-campus and charged with terrorism, according to school officials, who sent parents a letter.
