The OOCL Iris, which arrived at the Wando Welch Terminal, became the largest vessel to dock at the Port of Charleston. According to the Maritime Executive, here are a few quick facts about the massive vessel:The vessel spans 1,204 feet in length and has a capacity of 16,828 TEUs, meaning it can carry up to 16,828 standard 20-foot containers.

James Beard Award-winning chef Sean Brock has expanded his Nashville, Tennessee-based fast-casual restaurant Joyland to Charleston. Recently opened, Joyland is located on Calhoun Street, previously where Hero Doughnuts used to operate. Joyland takes inspiration from classic fast-food restaurants, aiming to blend nostalgia with a modern approach. The concept was first introduced in East Nashville in 2020.
