    A jury returned a verdict for the defendant in a $33 million motor vehicle collision case out of Madison County Circuit Court in Illinois. The verdict was reached Nov. 20, 2024, in favor of Dennis Rives and United States Steel Corporation. The case stems from a motor vehicle collision over a decade ago in 2012, when Rives was attempting to make a sharp right turn from the right turn lane. His turn signal was activated, and he had to veer slightly into the adjoining lane to make the turn.
