CINCINNATI (WXIX) - HEAT ADVISORIES are in effect starting Sunday and running through Wednesday evening, but these may need to be expanded in time with the heat and humidity sticking around until next weekend. The criteria for an advisory is for heat indices over 100°. Sunday brought our first 90-degree day since September 21 with heat indices between 95 and 100. That trend continues into next week with highs in the low 90s each day, and the heat index frequently topping out between 100-105.

This is because of the heat and humidity that is settling in and sticking around for the foreseeable future. CINCINNATI (WXIX) - While Saturday will be a hair warmer and more humid than Friday, it will not be as sweltering as Sunday or the days ahead. Expect temperatures in the middle 80s with humid air starting to move its way in to the tri-state. An Extreme Heat WATCH is in place beginning Sunday and running through the middle of next week. The criteria for this watch is for heat indices expected to top 100°. Sunday brings our first 90-degree day since September 21 with heat indices between 95 and 100.

CINCINNATI (WXIX) - A few showers and storms are seen across the tri-state today, though you won’t need to cancel any events or plans. By the end of the day, we get more sun than clouds. We continue to dry out Friday. Be prepared for some patchy fog Friday morning with more heat and humidity on the way. Summer starts late Friday evening at 10:42 p.m.!Saturday brings mostly sunny skies with temperatures on the rise. Expect a warm and muggy afternoon with highs in the upper 80s.
