SHREVEPORT, LA – A discovery at a local school leads to the arrest of a Shreveport woman on serious child abuse charge. Shreveport Youth Services detectives have caught up with the suspect after talking to staffers at Linwood Charter school. Teachers and others at the school recently noticed cuts and scars on two children who are ages 11 and 14. Some of the injuries appeared to be several weeks old. The suspect is now facing charges of abusing the children.

SHREVEPORT, LA - It's been a rough year for retailers all over the place, including Shreveport. Burlington Coat Factory in Shreveport has closed. Joann's Fabric has closed. Big Lots. Several Kohl's across the country have closed. It's just been a rough go for retailers across the board. Now, it sounds like another big retailer may be shutting down in the next few months. Another big chain is pointing to the tariff war as one of the reasons they might have to shut down some stores.

You’ve probably heard about phishing, but might not know what it is.

SHREVEPORT, LA - Grocery shopping trends have changed dramatically all across the area. Inflation has forced people to look for ways to trim spending. We have talked with lots of people in the Shreveport area to find out how they are dealing with the high grocery prices. Some say they are cutting out those high priced snacks. Others tell us they shop for the sale items. I am one of many who now shop for groceries online.

SHREVEPORT, LA – Good news is on the way for Shreveport. The splash pad at Riverview Park in downtown Shreveport will be reopening soon. So far this year we have not been dealing with scorching heat, but rest assured, that day is coming. And we will most certainly be looking for ways to cool off. The construction to rebuild the infrastructure at the spray park is just about complete. The splash pad is expected to be turned back on and ready for use within just a few weeks.
