A police officer in Morris County has confessed to sharing more than 100 child sexual abuse materials on a popular messaging app. Anthony Kelly, 37, of the Ledgewood area of Roxbury, has been suspended without pay from the Dover Township Police Department since his arrest last year. The investigation was launched by six cyber tips generated by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, sent to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children task force.

A 24-year-old Toms River man has been sent to state prison for a high-speed crash that killed a Lakewood man over three years ago. Alejandro Huerta-Arias was sentenced to eight years by Superior Court Judge Dina Vicari in Ocean County, for the death of 32-year-old Mark Mandel in Lakewood. Huerta-Arias was found guilty of vehicular homicide, following a nearly two-week jury trial in March. He will be required to serve more than six and a half years of his sentence before being eligible for parole.

A Monmouth County massage therapist has lost his professional license for good, over allegations of unwanted, inappropriate sexual contact with at least two female clients. Evans W. Chigounis has been permanently barred from working as a massage therapist in New Jersey under an agreement to resolve allegations that he groped a client in Manalapan and put his genitals into the hand of a different client’s hand at a business in Red Bank.
