MILLVILLE — A 30-year-old man from Cape May County has been accused of the brutal murder of a 36-year-old woman who was gunned down in a Millville park. Kirk E. Williams, of Wildwood Crest, has been charged with murder, three weapons offenses and tampering with evidence in the killing of Teaoshia Still late last year. On Nov. 9, a jogger called Millville police after finding Still’s body in Waltman Park.

A New Jersey man driving on a suspended license has been sentenced to prison for the Valentine’s Day hit-and-run of a young couple last year, which killed one victim and badly hurt the other. Dhkir Robinson pleaded guilty less than three months ago to vehicular homicide, leaving the scene of a deadly auto crash and assault by auto, all from the incident in Essex County. PRINCETON — A landmark theater in New Jersey has found itself facing a sudden massive funding loss after a federal grant for this year was withdrawn. McCarter Theatre in Princeton said that it received notice of the cancelled funding on Friday. The theater is an independent non-profit, with ticket sales only covering a third of the company’s budget. With the lost federal grant, “public funding will now total 200,000 less than it did last year,” a Facebook post by the theatre said on Tuesday.

JACKSON — A 26-year-old old Monmouth County man has received a short prison term after admitting to shooting a victim in the face last summer in the township. The brief sentence follows a plea deal reached this winter, once it was determined that the surviving victim would not cooperate with investigators.
