A new Wawa policy requires drivers to specify a dollar amount before paying for gas. The change was made "to ensure a smooth and secure transaction for both customers and associates," a Wawa spokeswoman said. The phrase "fill it, regular" has become ubiquitous in New Jersey, the only state where self-serve gas is illegal. But a new policy enacted by Wawa means drivers paying with cash in the Garden State can no longer use the three-word shorthand when filling their tank.

New Jersey state law says that in most cases your neighbor is allowed to park in front of your house. Here in New Jersey, people take parking seriously. It's easy to become territorial over a parking spot. Some residents may find a spot in front of their home taken up by a neighbor's vehicle, preventing them from parking there or simply enjoying the unencumbered view. Seeing an unfamiliar parked car while inside your own home is a mild annoyance, to be sure. But is it illegal?
