Dermoscopy is a valuable tool in the diagnosis of various skin conditions. Dermoscopy increases the sensitivity and specificity for skin cancer diagnosis, as well as infectious, inflammatory, and hair diseases. However, mastering dermoscopy intricacies poses challenges. In this context, innovative educational methods are sought, including game-based learning (GBL) strategies.

The study protocol was approved by the Comité Ético Científico HGF‐SSVQ (N: 07/2023), and Comité Ético Asistencial UC (N°: 220923006) and written informed consent was waived due to the observational and non-invasive nature of the study design. This study was conducted in accordance with the 1964 Declaration of Helsinki and followed the STARD guidelines for diagnostic accuracy studies [16].

AbstractNonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and alcohol-related liver disease (ALD) are the leading causes of chronic liver disease worldwide. NAFLD and ALD share pathophysiological, histological and genetic features and both alcohol and metabolic dysfunction coexist as aetiological factors in many patients with hepatic steatosis. A diagnosis of NAFLD requires the exclusion of significant alcohol consumption and other causes of liver disease.

This systematic review and meta-analysis report that maternal and offspring telomere length does not show difference between women with GDM and NPW. However, in the sensitivity analysis, maternal telomere length was shorter in GDM patients than in NPW after deleting one particular study with a small sample of women treated with insulin [36]. The offspring telomere sensitivity analysis did not show trend variations concerning the general meta-analysis.

Design and information sourceA cross-sectional study was conducted using data from the latest 2016 Quality of Life and Health Survey (in Spanish: “Encuesta de Calidad de Vida y Salud” [ENCAVI]). ENCAVI is a face-to-face household survey of people aged 15 years and older who usually reside in the urban and rural areas of the 15 regions of Chile (n = 7041). The sample design was probabilistic, geographically stratified and multistage (four stages: communes, blocks, housing and individual).
