Follow our live coverage here. SINGAPORE – The PAP team has retained East Coast GRC with 58.76 per cent of the vote, in a closely watched match-up against the WP. The ruling party also kept its hold on the single seat of Mountbatten. In East Coast, the PAP’s vote share is up from 2020’s when it won 53.39 per cent. This is the fifth election in a row that it has faced down the WP in East Coast GRC. Of the 135,576 valid votes cast on May 3 for East Coast GRC, 79,664 went to the PAP.

SINGAPORE - Three party veterans returned to the election stage to rally support for the PAP team in East Coast GRC on April 26. Speaking at the PAP’s first East Coast GRC rally, former Cabinet ministers Lim Swee Say and Heng Swee Keat, along with ex-Potong Pasir MP Sitoh Yih Pin, took the stage at Bedok Stadium to urge voters to back the five-member team, vouching for the leadership of anchor minister Edwin Tong, 55.

This revamp is meant to address wear and tear, and ensure the buses remain in good working condition. Of the vehicles undergoing a facelift, 364 are single-decker buses that are being refreshed by coach refurbishment company Wah Sheng Motor Supply, while 265 are double-deckers being revamped by automotive engineering firm ComfortDelGro Engineering. Bus models in this exercise include the Mercedes-Benz Citaro O530, MAN A22, Volvo B9TL and Alexander Dennis Enviro500.
