Former President Donald Trump won the U.S. presidential election on Tuesday, reclaiming the White House and beating Vice President and Democratic nominee Kamala Harris. The Associated Press (AP) called the race for Trump at 5:35 a.m. this morning, with Wisconsin being the final state to push Trump past the 270 electoral vote threshold. His path to victory appeared clear after winning the swing-state of Pennsylvania and its 19 electoral votes, which the for Trump at 2:24 a.m. eastern.

News It is once again time for another GUSA election cycle. This year, ten candidates have entered the bid for the seven open Class of 2028 Senate seats. Every August, the Voice’s editorial board offers advice to incoming students on how to adjust to life at Georgetown. Enrolling as a new student means not only finding a home on the Hilltop but learning to navigate living in Washington, D.C.This is a big transition and there is a lot to take in these first few weeks, and it’s okay to be overwhelamed. Student-worker solidarity requires continuous action. This editorial board calls on students to support dining workers in their upcoming contract negotiations with Aramark. The negotiations will begin on March 6 and last until Unite Here Local 23, the union representing main campus dining workers, and Aramark, the university’s subcontractor for dining services, reach a new agreement.
